Users

Every account in your domain, with the roles and projects each one holds.

Finding someone

Search users... matches across the list, and each column has its own filter. Columns shows the audit columns - who created an account and when it was last changed - which start hidden.

Advanced Search opens a fuller panel: username, full name, domain, role, email and the date fields, each with a condition such as Contains, Begins With, Ends With or Exact Match. A search you will run again can be kept with Save Query and picked from the Saved Query dropdown later.

Creating a user

Create opens the dialog:

FieldNotes
UsernameRequired. Stored in upper case, and cannot be changed afterwards
Full NameRequired
EmailRequired - where their password is sent
Mobile NumberOptional. Needs a country code, e.g. +919876543210
Domain NameYour domain
User RolesRequired. One or more roles - these decide what they see
ProjectsRequired. Every project they work in
Default ProjectWhich one they land on. Chosen from the projects above
GT-RoleTheir authority level - see below

SSO User is set when you create the account. Turn it on for someone who signs in through your organisation's identity provider - no password is emailed and none is needed.

Username cannot be changed later

Everything else can be edited. The username is fixed once the account exists.

GT-Role

The account's authority, separate from its roles:

GT-RoleTypically
UserA normal user
Super UserA normal user who can also manage other users
AdminAdministers the domain
GT-AdminPlatform-level administration

Roles decide which modules someone sees. GT-Role decides whether they can reach Administration at all, and whose accounts they may change. An administrator cannot edit or delete a GT-Admin account, and a Super User can only manage ordinary users.

Creating many at once

Bulk Create takes a spreadsheet. Use Download template to get the workbook - it has a Users sheet and an Instructions sheet, and takes up to 500 rows. Set the Default roles and Projects that everyone in the file should get, then Create Users.

The result is reported row by row - Created N · Failed N · Total N with a SUCCESS or FAILED badge and a message per row. Copy failed rows puts just those back on the clipboard so you can correct and re-upload them.

Resetting a password

Select the user and Reset Password. Their current password stops working immediately, a temporary one is emailed, and they are asked to set a new one when they next sign in.

Reset one domain at a time - if your selection spans several, the dialog says so and waits.
