Carriers
The home of the Carrier Onboarding Tool.
The list
Five counts - Total Carriers, Active, and a red, amber and green count - then the carriers themselves: ID, Carrier Name with its legal entity beneath, SCAC, Mode, Active, Status and Created.
Optional columns adds legal entity, go-live date, updated, and who created and updated the record.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| DRAFT | Created, not yet invited |
| INVITED | Invitation sent |
| IN_PROGRESS | The carrier is working through onboarding |
| PENDING_APPROVAL | Submitted, waiting on you |
| ACTIVE | Onboarded |
| SUSPENDED | Paused |
| ARCHIVED | Closed |
A carrier only becomes ACTIVE once someone on your side approves the submission.
Adding and inviting a carrier
New Carrier creates the record. While it is DRAFT, an Invite button appears on the row, and Send Invitation on the record itself.
If the invite is refused, the carrier has no contact email. Add one on the Contacts tab and try again.
When a carrier submits, its status becomes PENDING_APPROVAL and the record offers Approve and Reject.
The carrier record
Double-click a row. Five tabs:
Overview
The carrier's details, driven by the default Onboarding Template. Some blocks appear only when relevant - tick EDI and the EDI standard, version, VAN provider and mailbox appear; the same for AS2, REST API and SFTP.
Download template gets a blank Excel of every field, Import brings answers back in, and Export takes the current form out - which is how you send the questions to a carrier who would rather fill in a spreadsheet.
Documents
Per carrier: Name, Type, File, Status. Statuses are Pending Review, Approved, Rejected, Expired and Completed.
Contacts
Name, Role, Email, Phone and which is Primary. The primary contact is who the invitation goes to.
They are held until the carrier is created, then saved - the toast says "will save with carrier".
Users
Who from your side is working this carrier. Visible to administrators and the internal team.
Test Cases
The tests to pass before the carrier goes live.
Leaving without saving
Cancelling with unsaved changes asks first, and closing the browser tab warns you - the record is not saved as you type.
